So, we last saw our daring
peripatetic duo, scampering down the gangway from their last High Seas Hi-jinx,
franticly searching for their LUGGAGE, and hurrying to meet the - getting tired
of waiting - Greg for the ride home.
Waiting waaaayyyy over there, he greets
us still grumbling about the trek to the Port of Miami with the stop ‘n’ go
traffic on I-95 turning it into a parking lot and waiting for 1½ hours.
Once in the car, Dragon Lady lets it slip that the next trip to a cruise port will be a
lot shorter.
Greg, just snorts,
“Yeah right, it better be, it took 45
minutes to get here today and we got lost trying to get outta here last time…
Wait…WHAT?!?”
“Welllll...,” SHE starts, “it seems the Tempelshifs and the lovely folks that cruised with us had won a complimentary cruise
and a handful of cabins for all their casino play - and they invited us to join
them - at no cost. We just have to pay $250
port charges, so we said, YES PLEASE!.”
Greg turns with an
incredulous look and blurts out, “Cheeesshhh,
another freakin’ Cruise, when?”
As Cristina yells, “Eyes on the road Greg!”
Dragon Chic continues, “We leave in
2 weeks, but from Port Everglades and you already know your way around
there.”
Yup Dear Hearts and
Innocent Bystanders, you heard that right [so why repeat it?!?] other than just
off one cruise, they're headed for another, this time on the Celebrity Equinox,
departing January 21st for a 9 day trip around the ABC islands
[Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao] with a brief stop in Bimini.
And of course, all they
gotta do is get another Covid Test 2 days before embarkation and show up with
S&E & L&D at the port in 12 days.
For now it was home to
unpack, wash and get ready to repack, in between all of Chucky’s full dance
card of PET scans, medical procedures, doctors’ appointments, Physical and
speech therapy and whatevah.
There’s more to this
ongoing saga of the Wacky American Tourist and the Ever-Lovely Dragon Lady in
the Caribbean, but you'll just have to wait for
